The g.LADYbird active EEG electrode has a high-quality amplifier inside the electrode in order to record the best EEG possible. The electrode picks up much less noise than other electrodes and can be mounted very quickly. Thousands of recordings have shown that the g.LADYbird outperforms other systems. You don’t want to lose any second of data just because you didn’t use the best EEG equipment- especially if you work with patients.
If we look back to all the BCI experiments done with passive electrodes compared to experiments done with g.LADYbird active electrodes, than we get about 10% better accuracy. g.LADYbird active EEG electrodes were designed to make physiological setups for EEG/ECG/EMG/EOG recording fast and easy, while still using a comfortable EEG cap that provides very high signal quality.
The g.LADYbird active electrode is designed to work with all g.HIamps and g.USBamps. It is connected via the g.GAMMAbox to the g.USBamp and via the electrode connector boxes to the g.HIamp.
For TMS recordings, we offer a g.LADYbird passive version that does not have electronic components inside the electrode itself. This reduces the TMS stimulation artifact in the EEG recording and allows to have a clean recording within a few ms after the TMS pulse.
Both use sintered Ag/AgCl electrode material for perfect EEG data resolution from 0 to 10 kHz.

g.LADYBIRD ACTIVE EEG ELECTRODES
g.LADYbird are active EEG electrodes with a bigger reservoir for longer recordings with up to 64 channels. The electrode is inserted directly into the g.GAMMAcap and remains plugged in to minimize mistakes and to speed up electrode mounting. The g.LADYbird electrodes can also be assembled on the body with adhesive washers for EMG, ECG or EOG recordings.
The g.GAMMAcap can be configured with electrodes for a certain experiment (such as the P300 speller), and the electrodes remain inside the cap even during cleaning. This makes preparation and cleaning very fast, which speeds up experiments considerably. A typical setup time for a P300 speller experiment (10 electrodes) is about 2 minutes – just put on the cap and inject the gel. After the cap is removed, the gel almost disappears after some time, and gel is removed completely by washing the hair.
g.GAMMACAP fNIRS
g.GAMMAcap fNIRS allows to record with g.SCARABEO, g.LADYbird or g.SAHARA hybrid electrodes and g.SENSOR fNIRS. g.SENSOR fNIRS can be attached with a magnet to the cap and the optodes can be inserted into pre-defined positions over the sensorimotor-cortex and/or frontal cortex.
g.LADYBIRD PASSIVE EEG ELECTRODES
g.LADYbird passive EEG electrodes have a sintered Ag/AgCL electrode inside and are perfectly suited for EEG recordings in combination with TMS. The electrode does not have any electronic inside to reduce the TMS artifact in the EEG data. This is important for short-lasting EP recordings with TMS and ensures that the EEG signal comes back to normal within a few ms.

g.LADYBIRD passive EEG electrodes feature a sintered Ag/AgCL electrode designed specifically for EEG recordings combined with TMS. These electrodes lack internal electronics, minimizing TMS artifact interference in EEG data. g.GAMMACAP FOR g.LADYBIRD ELECTRODES
g.GAMMAcap is designed for maximum comfort with minimal mounting time. The fabric used for this g.GAMMAcap is very flexible, but robust. 74 labeled standard positions (based on the extended 10-20 system / 10-10 system) and 86 additional intermediate positions are precut for easy placement. This makes it easy to configure caps for certain experiments (e.g. P300 speller, SSVEP robot control, high-density brain mapping, etc.).
g.GAMMAcap uses active or passive g.LADYbird electrodes and active g.SCARABEO electrodes. The g.GAMMAcap can also be used with the active hybrid electrode system g.SAHARA hybrid, which can be used without or with gel. All types of active and passive electrodes can be changed or replaced if necessary. The caps can be used with a chest belt strap or with chin straps, which are supplied with each cap.
