BCI & NEUROTECHNOLOGY SPRING SCHOOL EVENT

The BCI & Neurotechnology Spring School is the world’s largest and most accessible education program dedicated to brain–computer interfaces and neurotechnology. Taking place online from April 20–29, 2026 (Vienna time), the Spring School brings together students, researchers, clinicians, and innovators from around the globe for an intensive, high-level learning experience.

FROM EXPLORING TO RECORDING

Exploration once shaped how humans understood the world, driven by curiosity and enabled by trusted tools. Today, exploration turns inward. The human brain is the next frontier, and understanding it begins with recording. Careful, continuous, and uncompromised. This is the philosophy behind g.tec.

Never stop recording” is a mindset. It means sustaining high-quality signal recording over time so complex brain activity can be captured and analyzed without data loss. The BCI & Neurotechnology Spring School was built around this idea. A global movement bringing together people from more than 140 countries to learn how to record brain signals with precision and continuity.

Exploration once changed how we saw the world. Recording is now changing how we understand ourselves. Never stop recording.

A GLOBAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE

The BCI & Neurotechnology Spring School delivers a rigorous, internationally connected education program in brain–computer interfaces and neurotechnology, combining expert-led lectures, workshops, and discussions that span foundational knowledge to real-world research, clinical, and industry applications.

Universities, companies, institutions, and research labs can actively engage in the Spring School in four distinct ways:

as individual attendees, as part of an Official Host,
through Live Viewing Hubs,
as Credit-Granting Universities, or
by supporting innovation as Hackathon Hosts.

This global framework enables strong local academic involvement while remaining fully connected to an international learning community. Free of charge and academically recognized through certificates and locally awarded credits, the Spring School is more than an online program—it is a worldwide academic movement shaping the future of neurotechnology.

Local academic partners in a global BCI & neurotechnology network

OFFICIAL HOST

Official Hosts are universities, research labs, and institutions that act as local academic nodes of the BCI & Neurotechnology Spring School. As part of the global host network, they gain academic recognition, visibility on Spring School platforms, a Host Certificate, and access to selected educational materials—while supporting their community with minimal organizational effort and no requirement to organize events or provide speakers.

Shared on-site learning within the global Spring School

LIVE VIEWING HUB

Live Viewing Hubs allow groups of students and researchers to take part in the Spring School together at a local venue while following the live online program. Institutions hosting a Hub receive official recognition, visibility on the Spring School website, and a dedicated Live Viewing Hub Toolkit from g.tec—enabling a high-quality, collaborative learning experience with very low organizational effort.

Academic integration through local accreditation

CREDIT GRANTING UNIVERSITIES

Universities worldwide integrate the BCI & Neurotechnology Spring School into their curricula by awarding local academic credits in accordance with their own regulations. While the Spring School itself does not grant credits, g.tec supports institutions with a comprehensive Credit Enablement Package, including defined learning objectives, a detailed program structure, a final exam, and attendance certification for seamless academic integration.

From knowledge to hands-on innovation

HACKATHON HOSTS

Hackathon Hosts turn Spring School knowledge into hands-on innovation. Only Unicorn Education Kit owners who participate with teams in the Spring School Hackathon can become Hackathon Hosts. Eligible institutions can engage up to 40 students in teams of five to compete globally in the virtual BR41N.IO Hackathon. By combining live Spring School sessions with teamwork and optional mentoring or hardware demonstrations, hosts gain international visibility and official recognition.

SETTING THE VISION OF THE SPRING SCHOOL

It’s quite amusing that we’re orchestrating the world’s largest neurotech event from Schiedlberg, a place where rabbits outnumber humans. Participants will access 140 hours of cutting-edge education, earning 14 credits and an exam certificate at no cost—an invaluable alternative to the typical $50,000 USD expense at prestigious universities. The potential value of our event, calculated at 90,816 attendees multiplied by $50,000 USD, amounts to a staggering $4,540,800,000 USD. We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to individuals worldwide, free of charge.
