EEG CAPS FOR RELIABLE BRAIN SIGNAL ACQUISITION
High-quality EEG starts long before the amplifier. Electrode stability, reproducible positioning, comfortable fit, durable materials, and reliable skin contact determine the quality of every EEG recording. g.GAMMAcap was developed by g.tec medical engineering to maximize signal quality while dramatically reducing preparation time for neuroscience, Brain-Computer Interface, cognitive neuroscience, mobile EEG, psychology, and clinical research.
WHY EEG CAPS DETERMINE SIGNAL QUALITY
Every high-quality EEG recording begins with stable electrode contact, reproducible electrode positioning, and an efficient preparation workflow. g.GAMMAcap was developed to maximize signal quality while dramatically reducing preparation time, enabling laboratories to perform more reliable and reproducible EEG studies with less effort.
Unlike conventional EEG caps that require electrodes to be reinserted and repositioned before every experiment, g.GAMMAcap allows researchers to build dedicated, reusable electrode configurations that remain permanently mounted—even during cleaning. Entire caps can be prepared for specific paradigms such as P300, SSVEP, Motor Imagery, ERP, high-density EEG, or EEG-fNIRS, ensuring identical electrode placement across participants and repeated studies while virtually eliminating montage errors.
As the universal cap of the g.tec ecosystem, g.GAMMAcap supports g.LADYbird active electrodes, g.SCARABEO active wet electrodes, g.SAHARA Hybrid dry and gel-assisted electrodes, passive EEG electrodes, and g.SENSOR fNIRS modules. Researchers can switch between electrode technologies and multimodal configurations without changing to a different cap platform, providing exceptional flexibility for cognitive neuroscience, Brain-Computer Interfaces, mobile EEG, psychology, neurorehabilitation, and multimodal brain research.

AVAILABLE SIZES FOR CHILDREN & ADULTS
Reliable EEG recordings begin with a properly fitting EEG cap. The elastic design of g.GAMMAcap adapts comfortably to different head shapes while maintaining stable electrode positions and consistent electrode contact throughout the recording. Multiple cap sizes ensure maximum participant comfort, minimize movement-related artifacts, and improve the reproducibility of EEG measurements across neuroscience, Brain-Computer Interface, psychology, and clinical research.

OPTIMIZED FOR TMS-EEG RESEARCH
g.GAMMAcap is fully compatible with g.LADYbird TMS-EEG Active Electrodes and g.LADYbird TMS-EEG Passive Electrodes, providing a stable platform for combined EEG and TMS experiments. The ultra-flat 3 mm electrodes allow close TMS coil positioning, while the standardized 10-10 electrode layout ensures reproducible recordings and stimulation sites.
Since the electrodes remain mounted inside the g.GAMMAcap for TMS-EEG, brain mapping, and closed-loop stimulation montages can be prepared once and reused, dramatically reducing setup time while maintaining consistent experimental conditions.
g.GAMMACAP fNIRS - INTEGRATED EEG & FNIRS CAP
g.GAMMAcap fNIRS enables synchronized EEG and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) recordings by combining g.SAHARA Hybrid or g.SCARABEO EEG electrodes with fNIRS modules on a single cap.
fNIRS modules are magnetically attached to the cap, while the optodes are placed at predefined locations over the sensorimotor and frontal cortex. This enables fast setup, reproducible optode placement, and reliable multimodal recordings for cognitive neuroscience, Brain-Computer Interfaces, neurorehabilitation, motor control, and neurovascular coupling research.
COMPATIBLE WITH WIRED EEG SYSTEMS
For applications requiring maximum channel counts, real-time processing, hyperscanning, Brain-Computer Interfaces, TMS-EEG, or multimodal neuroscience, g.GAMMAcap integrates seamlessly with g.HIamp and g.USBamp wired EEG amplifiers.
The cap supports the complete range of g.LADYbird, g.SCARABEO, g.SAHARA Hybrid, and passive EEG electrodes, providing stable electrode positioning and reproducible recordings for research-grade EEG acquisition. Dedicated electrode configurations remain mounted inside the cap, allowing laboratories to perform repeated experiments with identical montages while minimizing preparation time.
COMPATIBLE WITH WIRELESS EEG SYSTEMS
The same g.GAMMAcap can also be configured for g.Nautilus wireless EEG systems, providing the same comfortable fit, reproducible electrode placement, and stable electrode contact without restricting participant movement.
Combined with g.Nautilus Research, g.Nautilus PRO Flexible, or g.Nautilus Multi-Purpose, researchers can perform mobile EEG experiments while using the same cap platform and compatible g.SAHARA Hybrid or g.SCARABEO electrode technologies. This allows laboratories to standardize their workflows across both wired and wireless EEG systems without changing cap designs or electrode layouts.
FASTER PREPARATION & BETTER REPRODUCIBILITY
Researchers can dedicate complete g.GAMMAcaps to specific experimental paradigms and leave the electrode configuration permanently assembled. A typical 10-channel P300 Brain-Computer Interface experiment can be prepared in approximately 2 minutes, reducing participant preparation time while ensuring identical electrode placement across repeated studies.
The washable cap and reusable electrode configurations improve laboratory efficiency and provide reliable, high-quality EEG recordings for years of daily use.
