The g.AUDIObox is an audio trigger interface that receives 4 digital audio channels via USB. Audio channels 1 and 2 connect to stereo headphones. Audio channels 3 and 4 contain trigger information and connect via digital outputs to digital inputs of a g.tec biosignal amplifier.
The trigger information is also shown via two blue LEDs (LEFT, RIGHT) on the device. g.AUDIObox is capable of generating Stereo Stimulation that provides you with the stimulation of the left and right ears, independently. The trigger can also be sent separately to either Left or Right output.

TESTING AUDITORY AWARENESS
Auditory brain-computer interfaces are one of the efficient approaches for communicating with severely paralyzed individuals namely locked-in state (LIS) or completely locked-in state (CLIS) patients. By providing auditory stimulation, g.AUDIObox can be used either for cognitive function assessment or for basic communication with these patients and help us in better understanding their condition.
g.AUDIObox can be used in testing the auditory awareness of the unresponsive patients via providing sounds with high and low frequencies. Then the patient is asked to focus on certain sounds and help us to understand whether the patient has the ability to distinguish low and high tones or can follow commands. To provide the patients with a precise trigger, a headphone is placed on the patient’s head and the commands are sent through either Left, Right or both earphones (Stereo stimulation).
TRIGGERS AT CUSTOMIZABLE TIMEPOINTS
If you wish to trigger your EEG on a certain pitch or sound level existing in an audio file of your choice for a specific project, g.AUDIObox gives you the option to upload your own customized sound files containing trigger information. This guarantees perfect synchronization of Auditory stimulation and the EEG.
