Electrostim was established in 2003 by Dr. Eng. Marian Poboroniuc after taking part in an European Project (NeuralPRO). Within this project, he conducted research of the gait rehabilitation by means of functional electrical stimulation (FES) techniques. Electrostim’s mission is to improve the quality of life for those suffering from neuromotor diseases, helping them to be less dependent on other people, raising their confidence and self-esteem.

Marian is Professor for Robotics & Neuroprostheses of GHEORGHE ASACHI Technical University of Iasi (Faculty of Electrical Engineering). For his last achievements in the field of neuromotor rehabilitation, he recently received the Euroinvent 2017 Grand Prize and also the Romanian Inventors Society Grand Prize (CYBERARM – Intelligent Neuroprostheses Controlled with BCI techniques) at INVEST-INVENT 2019.
