g.tec is nominated for the

"Microsoft Innovation Award "

g.tec integrates Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology into patients’ everyday life. This inno-vative idea, the intendiX, that is based on Microsoft technology is nominated for the Microsoft Innova-tion Award". The software is designed to be installed and operated by caregivers or the patient's family at home.

The system is based on visually evoked EEG potentials (VEP/P300) and enables the user to sequentially select characters from a keyboard-like matrix on the screen just by paying attention to the target for several seconds. This requires some training but most subjects can use intendiX® after only 10 minutes.

The idea will be presented at the Innovation Day on May 3, 2010 at the Microsoft Innovation Center. Druing the evening programme the winner will be awarded. For more information please visit the webpage of the Innovation Award 2010
