g.Recorder is available for g.BSamp, g.MOBIlab+ and g.USBamp. It supports all g.tec biosignal-acquisition devices and provides a comfortable configuration and setup of the system. Signals and parameters can be checked in the display mode, stored to disk and afterwards reviewed in the offline/replay mode.

Video data can be stored simultaneously with the biosignals if required.

Biosignal parameters such as CSA (Compressed Spectral Arrays), HR (Heart-Rate) and HRV (Heart-Rate Variability) can be computed and displayed online during recording.

Highlights

Support of 3 biosignal amplifier
g.MOBIlab+, our wireless amplifier allows to record up to 8 channels with the device. Therefore the subject can move around during acquisition.
g.USBamp enables high-speed and high quality recordings with 38,4 KHz and 24 Bit, 16 to 256 channels are supported.
g.BSamp allows to use data acquisition boards (DAQ) with 16, 32 or 80 channels together with the stand-alone biosignal amplifier g.BSamp. Additional sensors can be connected directly to the DAQ board.

Multimodal biosignal recorder
g.Recorder allows to record 1 to 256 EEG, ECG, EMG, ... channels simultaneously with sampling rates between 64 Hz and 38.4 kHz. It is one of the fastest systems worldwide and allows to record 64 channels with 38,4 KHz each. 256 channels can be recorded with 9.6 KHz each.

Synchronization of biosignal data and video
The system offers also a perfect synchronization between the biosignal data and the video sequence. Therefore events in the EEG data can be investigated in detail with the video data.

Control of the multiple devices
g.MOBIlab+ allows to record data onto a Mini-SD-Card directly. Therefore first the data acquisition is started with g.Recorder to investigate the data quality. Then g.MOBIlab+ can be disconnected from the PC to log data onto the Mini-SD-Card. After e.g. 24 hours the device can be re-connected to investigate the recording. In this mode multiple devices can be controlled.

The following parameters can be computed online with the g.Recorder: NEW!!!

CSA

Compressed Spectral Array (explorative analysis of signal properties and data quality for long-term recordings)

HR

Heart Rate (based on automatic R-peak detection from the ECG raw signal)

HRV

Heart Rate Variability (HR and HRV parameters reflect the state of the autonomous nervous system

CFM (Cerebral Function Monitor) with the g.Recorder
It is also possible to monitor Cerebral Function (amplitude integrated EEG (aEEG) with automatic classification of DLVP, DHVP, CVP, ISO, BSP, UDP). Therefore the g.FEATUREmonitor is needed with an CFM pattern classification, which is used to monitor the ongoing brain function of premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. In addition to the online classification there is also an offline CFM-toolbox as a part of g.BSanalyze (g.tec's biosignal analysis software package) availabe.

Example: Fetale ECG
Advanced signal processing algorithms are required to extract the fetal ECG from ECG derivations placed on the mother. The example shows the application of ICA for this task.
