Multimodal biosignal parameter observation What is g.FEATUREmonitor? The g.FEATUREmonitor is a high performance biosignal recording system with the ability of online parameter extraction and comprehensive visualization of the results. Video data can be stored together with the biosignals and the computed parameters. The system is designed for long-term investigation and clinical research. It also allows to store the biosignal parameters without the raw data to save disk space. The standard device is equipped with a g.USBamp (16 channels, 24 bit, 4 separated ground potentials, DC-coupled wide range inputs, sampling with up to 38,4 kHz). This amplifier is a CE and FDA approved medical device and can be used for EEG, ECoG, EMG, EOG, ECG and many other types of recordings. |

Especially for neonatology g.FEATUREmonitor is the first system that provides investigations of brain activity (CFM, CSA) and heart activity (HR, HRV) together on a fully equipped video-EEG system. The recorded parameter patterns can be viewed offline togehter with the synchronized raw signals and video data for precise and detailed interpretation. The g.FEATUREmonitor automatic CFM pattern classification is used to monitor the ongoing brain function of premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. The system assigns class lables to data segments (e.g. epochs of 10 mintues). The following classes are used as default. DLVP (discontinous low voltage pattern), DHVP (discontinuous high voltage pattern), CVP (continuous voltage pattern), ISO (iso-electric pattern), BSP (burst supression pattern), and UDP (undefined pattern). Other classes can be defined according to special applications. In addition to the online classification there is also an offline CFM-toolbox as a part of g.BSanalyze (g.tec's biosignal analysis software package) availabe. |
