The g.CNAPmonitor offers blood pressure measurements as stand alone device or in connection with the g.tec biosignal amplifiers. Continuous blood pressure information as known from invasive measurement is now available to all medical disciplines and expands the usage of truly continuous  blood pressure measurement to areas where it has not been available due to costs, complication risks or environmental circumstances.

The g.CNAPmonitor provides the physician with

s beat-to-beat systolic, diastolic and mean blood pressure
s a high fidelity blood pressure curve
s real-time pulse rate
s real-time output that can be connected to g.USBamp, g.MOBIlab+, g.BSamp
s blood pressure acquisition together with g.tec amplifiers that measure EEG, EMG, EOG, ECG,...
s real-time analysis in Simulink together with Highspeed On-line Processing for Simulink
s a trend view of blood pressure and pulse rate

Thus, the g.CNAPmonitor helps to improve patient observation by raising the quality of observation through real time information in combination with its ease of use and low cost of operation through reusable sensors. The device is based on CNAP™ technology of the Austrian company CNSystems.

Customizable alarming

The g.CNAPmonitor has a highly customizable alarming system. Alarms can be bound to different blood pressure values and the pulse rate, an auto-alarm function sets individual alarms for a person currently measured automatically.

Built with ease of use in mind

The g.CNAPmonitor was developed with a powerful, but easy to use user interface. The most important functions are available through 6 fast access keys, all other functions and settings can be reached through the use of a turn-and-push button, following the usage model of a huge range of medical devices.
The setup of the measurement system is as easy as slipping the cuffs over two neighboring fingers of the patient, fixing the cuff controller to the patient's arm and hitting the “Start”-button, which should not take longer than 45 seconds for the experienced user. The absolute blood pressure values are calibrated with a normal upper limb sensor. The devcie was developed to nearly completely rule out usage errors even in very stressful environments.

Multi-modal data acquisition

The g.CNAPmonitor can be plugged directly into the g.USBamp, g.MOBIlab+ or g.BSamp for simultaneous biosignal recording. The sampling frequency of the data acquisition device should be at least 128 Hz. Therefore changes of the blood pressure curve can be interpreted together with ECG, EEG, EMG, EOG... changes to investigate both the autonomous and central nervous system.

Designed for independent use on the move

The g.CNAPmonitor comes with a built-in rechargeable battery, which will support measurements for up to 2 hours independently from an external power source. The device has also an internal 24 h data storage and an integrated thermal printer.
