The left panel shows the electrode positions of the fully equipped 65-electrodes cap. This configuration is suitable for most studies. If you need other positions or a subset ask for a customized solution. Best results are obtained when preparing the skin with an abrasive gel (see electrode montage). The systems are very capable. If you want to work with 2 or with 111 channels, we do have the best solution for your measurement.

These charts show you the most important EEG-measurement for BCI and where the electrodes should be placed. Configuration A is for screening, configuration B is suitable for the measurement of sonsorimotoric rhythm and with the configuration C you can measure the P300 speller (avoked potential). They are made of an elastic spandex-type fabric with recessed, pure tin electrodes attached to the fabric. The electrodes on the standard caps are positioned to the International 10-20 method of electrode placement. The standard-configuration is suitable for screening, P300 (avoked potential) and sensormotoric rhythm. |

Active Electrodes
| g.GAMMAsys is a high-performance active electrode system for non-invasive electrophysiological derivations such as EEG, EMG, ECG, EOG and other signals. An additional pre-amplifier is located inside the electrode itself. The system is designed for use with biosignal amplifiers with monopolar (unipolar) inputs. It can be used with g.USBamp and with g.MOBIlab. Bipolar (differential) recordings are possible with recording systems capable of computing differential derivations from unipolar signals (e.g. g.USBamp). Electrodes are made of sintered Ag/AgCl and work in a frequency range of 0 - 100 kHz. The active electrodes can be used with all g.tec EEG caps as an alternative to the passive standard electrodes. The system avoids or reduces artifacts and signal noise resulting from high impedance between the electrode(s) and the skin (e.g. 50/60 Hz coupling, artifacts caused by electrode or cable movements, distorted signals or background noise). No modifications are required for the biosignal amplifier which can be used with or without the active electrode system. |
