(1) g.UBSamp - high
end 24 bit biosignal amplifier available
g.USBamp - g.tec's latest 24 bit biosignal acquisition device - is
the perfect tool for recording multimodal biosignal data with highest
quality. This allows to investigate brain-, heart-, muscle-activity, eye
movement, respiration, galvanic skin response and other body signals.
g.USBamp is USB 2.0 enabled and comes with 16 simultaneous sampled
biosignal channels and 2 analog output channels. A total of 4 independent
grounds guarantee no interference between the recorded signals. The amplifier
can simply be connected to the USB socket on your PC/Notebook and can
immediately be used for data recording. Record up to 256 channels using
multiple g.USBamp devices.

(2) Pocket BCI - The Brain-Computer
Interface on a Pocket PC
Based on the mobile data acquisition system g.MOBIlab
the brain-computer interface is now available on a standard Pocket PC.
The Pocket Brain-Computer Interface is trained to the subjects brain waves
and converts brain signals into control signals. The mobile device can
be easily installed at subjects homes for BCI training or used for experiments
in field researchs.

(3) New enhanced g.ECGtoolbox for g.BSanalyze will
be soon available
The g.ECGtoolbox comprises new oustanding facilities to investigate
beat-to-beat signal changes in ECG. Non-normal ECG beats are automatically
detected and classified. An intelligent beat editor displays the single
heart beats, allows extracting characteristic points in the ECG signal
and measuring e.g. QT interval changes or P, T and R - wave amplitude
changes.

Promotion ------------------------------------------------
(4) Discount
for g.BSanalyze - the offline biosignal data processing toolbox - is now
available for universities and colleges
In order to better support the scientific community
in biosignal data processing g.BSanalyze
prices for universities and colleges have been reduced by 30%.
See: http://www.gtec.at/service/about_prices.htm
(5) Basic Biosignal
Research Package - acquire and process EEG/ECG/EMG/EOG
The
basic biosignal research package is a complete system used to acquire
and process multi-modal biosignals such as EEG, ECG, EMG, EOG and also
physical signals. The system includes a CE-certified analog biosignal
amplifier with 10 channels (g.BSamp), a coupling box for full access to
analog and digital signals, a 16 channel 16-bit DAQ card with cable, recording
software (g.DAQsys) and advanced biosignal analysis software (g.BSanalyze)
with EEG- and ECG-toolbox.
Auditory stimuli are presented to the subject via the computer's
soundcard by headphones. Visual stimuli are generated via a flashing lamp.
Timing information of auditory and visual stimuli are stored in synchrony
with the biosignals. Subject's reactions via button press are also stored
with the biosignals.

(6) Short Report: Training
seminar on biosignal processing in Singapore, Raffles Center, June/July
2004
Research in life sciences is highly interdisciplinary:
Medical doctors, biomedical engineers, physicists, psychologists, IT-specialists
and specialists in digital signal processing (software and hardware) are
working together. The g.tec seminar yielded insights into different aspects,
applications and g.tec solutions in the fields of real-time, on-line and
off-line biosignal data processing. Applications of g.tec solutions in
research areas of brain-computer-interface, monitoring and outcome prognosis
of preterm infants as well as applications in field research using mobile
data acquisition devices were covered.
