(1) g.BSanalyze Student Edition for EURO
999
In order to optimally support MSc and PHD
students a graduand version of g.BSanalyze - the MATLAB powered biosignal
data processing toolbox - has been released.
The Student Edition of g.BSanalyze is
designed to provide a low-cost biosignal data processing tool for teaching
purposes and students or graduands. It enables the user to perform basic
data preprocessing and transformation steps as well as simple data analyses.
Important methods to investigate data like the computation of power spectra,
data averaging or bandpower estimation can be performed. A robust method
for automatic QRS complex detection for ECG signals and the computation
of different HRV (heart rate variability) time-domain parameters is also
included. Data import of various data formats and a powerful visualization
further supports the students to carry out successfully their projects.
Advanced MATLAB-users benefit from the possibility to include their own
functions and routines. If the customer decides to upgrade his Student
Edition to the full g.BSanalyze base version or g.BSanalyze toolboxes,
the price of the Student Edition will be fully credited.

(2) g.MOBIlab Programming API.
Extend and program your own biosignal data processing on the Pocket PC
The Application Programming Interface (API) for g.MOBIlab
(the mobile biosignal data acquisition system) enables you to create your
own sophisticated biosignal acquisition and data processing applications
on a Pocket PC. Sample programs and the well documented source code in
the electronic manual may serve as a template for your programs and optimally
supports you developing mobile biosignal data processing programs. Debugging
the programs directly on the Pocket PC or on the built-in emulator accelerates
the development process.

(5) PhD Study and Scholarship available at the
University of Plymouth, Plymouth, England (supervisor Prof. Eduardo
Reck Miranda, MSc, PhD)
The project working title is "Music from Brainwaves: Interfacing
EEG Equipment with Real-Time Computer Music Systems" and the closing
date for applications is May 28th, 2004.

(6) 2nd Brain-Computer-Interface Workshop and
Training Course at the Institute for Human Computer Interfaces, Graz,
Austria.
World leading experts and leaders of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) reseach
groups give insights in the current ongoing research work. A theoretical
part of the workshop provides information about necessary requirements
and prerequesites for successful BCI implementation and research. A practical
part enables you to actively use different BCI systems and discuss informally
your problems with the experts. A round table discussion completes the
2 days intensive working weekend.
