State of the Art in BCI research
In 1999, only a handful of real-time BCI systems were working on earth, and most researchers focused on off-line analysis of EEG data. Today, several hundred BCI systems with real-time parameter estimation and user/patient training are used. The following section summaries BCI technology and physiological sensors to give a short overview of current trends.
