g.tec is happy to introduce free online webinars!
From January through April 2016, we will host several interactive webinars that introduce mindBEAGLE (www.mindbeagle.at) and recoveriX (www.recoverix.at) systems. Each webinar will include an introduction to g.tec, BCIs, stroke rehabilitation, conscious assessment and communication, and a live demonstration of mindBEAGLE or recoveriX systems that will show how to run the systems, which paradigms are available and how the system is used. Each webinar will conclude with a question and answer session. These webinars are designed for everybody and do not require a prior background in math, EEG recording, medicine, or other fields. Students and professors from different disciplines are welcome, as well as medical experts, end users, caretakers, and the public at large.
Dr. Brendan Z. Allison will tell you stories about triumph over severe adversity and will include a lot of information about opportunities to learn more, such as through websites, books, and free lecture materials. He completed his PhD in Cognitive Science at UC San Diego in 2003. He then worked as a postdoc or senior postdoc at several top EEG and BCI research institutes, including work with Profs. John Polich, Jonathan Wolpaw, Christa Neuper, and Gert Pfurtscheller. He has been active in BCI research for over 20 years, with several dozen peer-reviewed publications, six books, and over 100 conference presentations. He recently joined the g.tec team as a senior scientist.
Each webinar will last one hour. We kindly ask participants to join the webinar ten minutes early to allow time to address any technical problems. Our staff will launch each webinar 15 minutes early.
